At Pleiades, we believe that quality mental health care should be accessible. Our platform offers transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Therapy session rates are set by individual therapists and may vary based on their credentials, specialization, experience, and your location.
The exact rate for your sessions will be clearly displayed when you view a therapist's profile and before you confirm any booking.
Payment Methods
Pleiades accepts various payment methods to make the billing process as convenient as possible:
Credit/Debit Cards
We accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Digital Wallets
We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal for convenient digital payments.
Automatic Payments
Set up automatic payments for recurring sessions to avoid missing payments or session interruptions.
Insurance Coverage
Many therapists on our platform accept insurance. Here's what you need to know:
In-Network Insurance
If a therapist is in-network with your insurance provider, you'll typically pay only your copay at the time of service. We'll handle the insurance billing for you.
To find therapists who accept your insurance:
- In your dashboard, go to "Find a Therapist"
- Use the "Insurance" filter and select your provider
- Only therapists who accept your insurance will be displayed
Out-of-Network Benefits
If you choose a therapist who doesn't accept your insurance, you may still be able to receive reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits:
- Pay for your session upfront
- Request a superbill from your therapist
- Submit the superbill to your insurance company for potential reimbursement
Insurance Verification
Before your first session, we recommend verifying your coverage by calling the number on the back of your insurance card and asking about mental health benefits, copay amounts, and session limits. And if your insurance company is a partner of Availity you may be able to view your benefits straight from your dashboard
You can access your billing statements and receipts at any time:
- Go to your dashboard and select "Billing & Payments"
- View your payment history and download receipts or statements
- Filter by date range or therapist
- Download statements for insurance submission or tax purposes
Cancellation Policy and Fees
To respect therapists' time and maintain the scheduling system's efficiency, most therapists on Pleiades have a cancellation policy:
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session typically incur no charge
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or missed sessions will result in a full session fee
Updating Payment Information
To update your payment method or billing information:
- Log into your account and go to "Account Settings"
- Select "Payment Methods"
- Choose "Add New Payment Method" or edit existing information
- Set your preferred default payment method if you have multiple options
